Powder/Ombre Brows

A powder/ombre brow is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. This amazing service uses a specialised machine and pigments to create fine hair strokes and shading. The end result is fuller and more defined eyebrows that still look natural.

This is a fantastic way to wake up with beautiful brows every day - ones that won't smudge and are waterproof.

The term ombre refers to the use of two different brow colors, one darker than the other.  The tails of the brow are typically darker, fading into a lighter color at the beginning of the brow. This creates a more natural-looking result than a single solid color.

The service even works well if you have little to no eyebrow hair and is suitable for all skin and eyebrow types.

Each result is truly unique. Brows are designed based on each individual's face shape and their desires. This includes the ability to create a highly dark and defined end result, or something lighter and softer.

The finished result can last more than 2 years.

Powder/ombre brows let you wake up with beautiful eyebrows and uses the latest is cosmetic tattoo approaches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I Still Need To Maintain My Eyebrows?

This type of tattoo dramatically reduces the amount of maintenance work - but doesn't remove the need entirely. The procedure tattoos the skin, so you will need to care for your eyebrow hair.

This may include shaping your natural hairs to match the tattoo. If you tint your eyebrows, you may still need to do so, just not as often.

Why The Touchup Session?

This session is necessary and will normally be 6 to 8 weeks after your initial procedure.

The touch up provides the chance to finalize your eyebrows. It can include changes like refilling areas and making brows thicker. This is important as everyone's brows heal differently. These individual differences are evident at the touch up session but not during the initial procedure.

In some cases, the touchup session can be done 4 weeks after the initial treatment. However, it cannot be done any sooner, as your skin needs time to heal.

How Is This Different To Microblading or Combo Brows?

Microblading, combo brows, and powder/ombre brows are all different types of eyebrow tattoo.

  • Microblading produces the most natural outcome, using hairstrokes. Results often last around a year or a little more.
  • A powder/ombre brow produces a more defined makeup-like appearance. It is a machine-based technique, which allows the needles to penetrate more deeply and produces a longer-term result. The ombre component refers to the use of two shades, while the powder is an alternative to hair strokes and is used to fill in spaces.
  • A combo brow uses a combination of the two powder and hairstroke techniques.

Who Is This Suitable For?

Microblading suits many people, including those with little eyebrow hair and anyone who wants less work in maintaining their eyebrows.

However, this is a tattoo procedure and involves depositing ink into the skin. As such, it is unsuitable for some individuals. This area will be discussed during the consultation. In some cases, you may need a certificate from your doctor prior to the procedure.

Examples of potential issues include:

  • People with a skin condition near their eyebrows
  • Those with pre-existing eyebrow tattoos (whether this is a problem depends on the tattoo)
  • Some medical conditions, such as those that inhibit the immune system

Additional Considerations:

  • You need to be at least 18 years old (as this is a type of tattoo)
  • The procedure cannot be done if you are breastfeeding or pregnant
  • You must carefully follow pre-procedure and aftercare instructions to ensure the best outcome

Sophie reserves the right to refuse treatment to anyone that she feels the procedure is not suitable for.
